Terms of Use

Terms governing your use of Viaris: editorial role, no transactions, third-party operator information, intellectual property, liability limits.

In brief

  • These terms are not a sales contract: Viaris is an editorial information service published by the Viaris group, not a vignette seller — purchases happen on the operator’s or reseller’s own website under their terms.
  • Content is general information, not legal or transactional advice; always confirm prices and rules on the operator’s own website before a trip-critical decision.
  • Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law (capped at what you have paid Viaris, currently zero); these terms are governed by the member-state law of the entity that publishes Viaris.eu, without prejudice to your mandatory consumer protections.

These terms govern your access to and use of the Viaris website. By visiting Viaris you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

1. What Viaris is and is not

Viaris is an editorial information service about European mobility services published by the Viaris group: prices, rules, validity periods, operators and route planning. We are not a vignette seller. We do not process payments, do not store account data, and do not issue vignettes ourselves. When a guide refers to purchasing, that activity is performed on the website of the relevant operator or authorized reseller — under their own terms and pricing.

2. Accuracy of editorial content

We make a reasonable effort to verify prices, validity rules and operator details against official operator sources on a regular review cycle, and we display Verified at and Updated at markers on country pages. Rules and prices set by national operators can change without notice. Always confirm on the operator's own website before relying on a price or rule for a trip-critical decision.

Viaris's content is general information, not legal advice. It does not constitute an offer, recommendation, or guarantee in respect of any specific vignette purchase, trip or vehicle classification.

Country and operator pages contain links to third-party websites — official operators (ASFINAG, DARS, NÚSZ, BGTOLL, etc.) and authorized resellers. Those sites are independent of Viaris; their terms, privacy practices, prices and availability are their own. Following an outbound link is your decision; Viaris is not responsible for content, performance or transactions on those external sites.

5. Intellectual property

Editorial text, page structures, illustrations and trade dress on Viaris are owned by the operator of the Viaris brand and protected by intellectual-property law. Country names, operator names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are referenced for identification only.

You may quote short excerpts (one or two paragraphs) for non-commercial purposes with a visible link back to the source page. Substantial reproduction, scraping for republication, and any use that suggests endorsement by Viaris require prior written permission.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to break, overload or probe the security of the site;
  • scrape content at a rate that interferes with normal availability;
  • republish editorial content in a way that strips attribution or misrepresents the source;
  • use the site to send spam, malware or unlawful content.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viaris is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Viaris is not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses arising from your use of the site — including, but not limited to, lost trips, missed connections or fines incurred at the border. The maximum total liability of Viaris under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid to Viaris in the twelve months preceding the relevant event, which at prelaunch stage is zero.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member-state law of the entity that publishes Viaris.eu, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence. Country-specific variants of the brand (such as Viaris.be) may carry their own governing-law clause; consult the terms on each domain.

9. Changes

We may update these terms when the site evolves. The Updated at date in the page header reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact
