How Viaris handles personal data: analytics behind consent, server logs for security, no accounts and no payments. Your GDPR rights and how to use them.

In brief

Viaris runs this corporate site with no accounts, payments or affiliate tracking; it handles only server logs for security and, with your consent, pseudonymous analytics.
Processing rests on legitimate interest for server logs and on your consent for analytics (GDPR article 6); hosting is in the EU and you can withdraw consent via Cookie preferences.
You can exercise your GDPR rights via the Contact page and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your EU member state.

Viaris publishes corporate communications and policy disclosures for the Viaris group. At this stage the site does not sell vignettes, does not run user accounts, and does not process payments. This policy describes the limited personal data we handle and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

1. What we collect

We only handle data that comes with delivering this website and measuring how editorial content performs.

Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure records each HTTP request: source IP address, timestamp, requested path, response status, user agent. These logs are used to operate the service, detect abuse, and troubleshoot incidents.
Analytics events. If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies on the consent banner, our analytics provider records aggregated, pseudonymous page-view events: viewed page, locale, referrer, basic device class. We do not enrich these events with names, accounts, or contact data.
Consent state. Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so we don't ask again on every visit. The consent record never leaves your device.

We do not collect: account credentials, payment information, telephone numbers, postal addresses, advertising identifiers, or cross-site tracking data.

Legitimate interest — operating the website and keeping server logs to defend against abuse and diagnose failures (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Consent — loading analytics only after you accept on the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

3. How long we keep it

Server logs: up to 5 years, then deleted. Older entries are removed by automated rotation.
Analytics data: retained according to the analytics provider's settings, currently capped at the provider's default retention period.
Consent state: stored on your device until you clear browser storage.

4. Third parties

Hosting and CDN — request handling on our European infrastructure.
Analytics provider — pseudonymous aggregate metrics when you opt in.
Outbound links — country and operator pages link to official vignette operators (ASFINAG, DARS, NÚSZ, BGTOLL, etc.) and to authorized resellers. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies. Viaris does not run affiliate tracking on outbound links at this prelaunch stage.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
request correction or erasure;
object to processing based on legitimate interest;
restrict processing;
receive your data in a portable format;
withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the channels listed on the Contact page. We respond within 30 days, as required by Art. 12(3).

If you believe our processing infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your EU member state.

6. International transfers

Our hosting is located in the European Union. Analytics is processed by a provider whose EU representative and Standard Contractual Clauses are documented in the analytics provider's data-processing agreement.

7. Children

Viaris is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the Updated at date in the page header reflects the latest revision. Material changes are summarized in the project changelog.
