Cookies and similar storage on viaris.eu: Belgian legal basis, a short inventory, Google Analytics 4 only after consent, and how to manage your choice.

This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and similar browser-storage entries used on viaris.eu (the "Site"), their purpose, the legal basis on which they are deployed, and how you grant, refuse or withdraw consent. It complements the Privacy Policy.

1. What a cookie or similar technology is

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website asks your browser to store. Session cookies end when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain across visits. The same rules apply to other browser-storage mechanisms such as localStorage. In this Policy, "tracker" covers cookies and comparable storage.

2. Legal basis

Non-strictly-necessary trackers require prior, specific, informed, freely given and unambiguous consent under article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), transposed in Belgium at article 10/2 of the Loi du 30 juillet 2018 / Wet van 30 juli 2018 — which since 10 January 2022 has replaced article 129 of the Loi du 13 juin 2005 — and, where personal data is involved, articles 6 and 7 GDPR. Consent follows EDPB Guidelines 05/2020 and 03/2022; strictly necessary storage may be used without consent under the exemption in the same provisions.

3. Categories on viaris.eu

The consent banner uses two categories.

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to work and to remember your consent choice and your language. Always on.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept analytics (or save preferences with analytics enabled) and measures pseudonymous page views. If you decline, it is not loaded; if you withdraw consent, it stops on the open page and its first-party cookies are deleted.

No marketing or advertising trackers are used, so the banner offers no marketing category.

We do not deploy trackers outside this inventory. Google Analytics 4 is the only third-party tool that loads with consent on viaris.eu.

5. Consent and withdrawal

  • The banner appears before any consent-required tracker loads. Accept all and Reject all have equal prominence, and the analytics box is never pre-ticked.
  • Your choice and the version of this Policy are stored on your device only; when the list of consent-required tools changes, the banner asks again.
  • Change your choice at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer (Cookie preferences), or by clearing site data (the banner reappears).
  • Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent (GDPR art. 7(3)). Editorial content remains fully readable if you reject analytics.

6. Third-country transfers

When Google Analytics 4 loads — only after analytics consent — Google Ireland Limited acts as our processor. Data may be onward-transferred to Google LLC (United States); the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (EU) 2023/1795, on which Google LLC self-certifies, and on the Standard Contractual Clauses (EU) 2021/914 in Google’s data processing terms, as described in the Privacy Policy. No other consent-based third party runs on the Site.

7. Data Protection Officer

RAENBI GROUP BV has not appointed a Data Protection Officer; processing here does not meet GDPR article 37(1) thresholds. Privacy queries, including cookie-related rights requests: privacy@autovig.eu.

8. Your rights and supervisory authority

You may exercise GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent) at privacy@autovig.eu. You may lodge a complaint with the Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (APD / GBA) — Rue de la Presse 35 / Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Bruxelles / Brussel — https://www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be / https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be, or with your local authority under GDPR art. 77.

9. Changes

The updatedAt date in the page header reflects the latest revision. Material changes to trackers or processors are highlighted at the top for at least 30 days where practical; new consent-required trackers trigger a fresh consent request.
